Habakkuk's ability to rejoice even in the darkest of times is related to what Habakkuk chooses to remember and meditate upon. Looking back; To what God has done? Looking up; To who God is? Looking forward; To what God has promised? These three things were a greater reality for Habakkuk than the temporary suffering and trouble that surrounded him. And these three things can be the same greater realities for each of us.
