The Victorious Return - Signs of the times
What does it mean to truly long for the return of Jesus? Does the thought of his coming stir hope in us, or have we grown cold and numb to the promise? Daniel’s vision gives us a sweeping view of history, written centuries before Jesus was born. He sees a world marked by the rise and fall of powers, yet its story does not end with evil in triumph. One like a Son of Man comes before the Ancient of Days and receives authority, glory, and a kingdom that will never pass away. This is more than a poetic picture. It points us to Jesus: risen and ascended, reigning over all things, even as we live in a world where darkness still has influence. Evil is real, but its power is limited. Jesus is no rival in a contest between equals; he is the sovereign King, and the ending is secure. So how should this vision shape the way we face the world—and awaken our longing for the day Jesus returns?
