Belonging - in God's Love - Romans 8, 14-17
In this message, we explore belonging in God’s love through the biblical teaching of spiritual adoption. Drawing from Romans 8 and Ephesians 1, we are reminded that believers are no longer slaves to fear but are adopted as sons and daughters of God—heirs with Christ, secure in their identity and future. Salvation is not only about forgiveness of the past, but about a transformed present and a hopeful future, all rooted in God’s eternal purpose and grace. Using the Roman understanding of adoption this highlights the depth and permanence of our new identity in God’s family, showing that adoption is fully from Him, through Him, and for His glory.

We are all citizens of Heaven and if you looked at our passport, our home nation wouldn't be Britain it would be Heaven. We are made in God's image and that because God is part of the Trinity - our DNA is designed for connection - and that is why we long for belonging.
