We journey through David's darkest hour when he returns to Ziklag to find everything burned and his family taken captive. His own men want to stone him. Yet in this moment of absolute despair, David does something remarkable—he strengthens himself in the Lord and inquires of God before taking action. The contrast is striking: when David relied on his own understanding and fled to the Philistines in chapter 27, it led to deception and disaster. But when he sought God's direction in chapter 30, complete restoration followed.
