Belonging on Mission Together - Matthew 28:18-20
This message takes us into the heart of what it means to belong in God's mission together. We discover that Jesus' mission—to seek and save the lost—isn't just something we admire from a distance, but something we're actively called to participate in. The Great Commission from Matthew 28 isn't reserved for a special class of 'super Christians' or missionaries across the ocean; it's for every believer, right where we are. Our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities are our mission fields. What's particularly challenging is realizing that when Jesus told His disciples to pray for laborers for the harvest, He then made them the answer to their own prayers. This pattern continues today—God often calls us to be part of the solution we're praying for. The call is to humble ourselves, surrender our will, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus was. This isn't about adding religious activities to our lives; it's about a culture change that transforms how we live in every space, sacred and secular alike.
