God Lessons from the life of David - God is worth all our worship
In 2 Samuel 6, David's journey with the Ark of the Covenant reminds us that God's presence is never something to treat casually. Through the stories of Uzzah, Obed-Edom and David, we see both the holiness of God and the blessing that comes from honouring Him rightly. This message explores what it means to fear the Lord—not a fear that drives us away from God, but a reverent awe that draws us closer. As David discovered, true worship begins when we recognise who God is: holy, powerful, loving, and worthy of our wholehearted devotion. The fear of the Lord doesn't diminish intimacy with God; it deepens it. When we see Him for who He truly is, our response becomes more than a Sunday activity—it becomes a life of worship.
