Passion Week - Palm Sunday: The King Arrives - Matthew 21:1-11
This reflection on Palm Sunday invites us to embrace a profound paradox: becoming less certain about how God works, while becoming more sure of who He is. Through the lens of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey rather than a war horse, we are challenged to examine our own expectations of how God should show up in our lives. The crowds expected a warrior-messiah who would overthrow Rome, just as the Maccabees had defeated the Greeks a century earlier. Instead, they got a humble king on a donkey, fulfilling ancient prophecy in ways they never anticipated.

We are all citizens of Heaven and if you looked at our passport, our home nation wouldn't be Britain it would be Heaven. We are made in God's image and that because God is part of the Trinity - our DNA is designed for connection - and that is why we long for belonging.
