The Cross stands above it all - Colossians 2:8-15
Into the bleak picture of our sin and shame Jesus goes to the cross and pays the debt that was stacked up against us so we can be forgiven all of it. This is the good news but unfortunately we still often respond to sin in our lives by either beating ourselves up or trying to clean ourselves up, when what we need to do is keep standing on the truth of the gospel.
